stress, stress, stress...why?
So much to do, so little time. I'm not quite sure why I'm so stressed. Let's see:
1. Teacher certification drama - will I be able to work in 2 weeks?
God, I hope so. Long story. I won't bore you.
2. Getting everythign set because I'm leaving tomorrow to visit my wonderful mom in FL - Hi Mom!!
3. Need to get flea stuff for cats...which basically means fending off my fri. afternoon wine buzz to get to PetSmart (okay people, I haven't had a drop of alcohol in 5 days..so back off).
4. Need to pack
5. Need to finish damn computer online courses that relate to no.1.
6. Worried about highway anxiety...have meds, but still worried. I haven't driven home since my dad died.
7. Worried about reading/planning for 10th gr. honors. Really behind since I'm obsessed with HP book #6 right now- 350 more pgs. to go.
That's about it. Okay, must admit, it was sorta theraputic to write all my worries down.
I haven't written in a while, so what's been going on?
Lots. Just finished assessing teachers' essays who applied for Nat'l Board Certification in English. Actually, sorta fun, a bit monotonous in parts. We had a great group - and exchanged email addresses. yay. English teachers are usually great people, well, except for the annoying lady from California who knew EVERYTHING IN THE FREAKIN' WORLD ABOUT ENGLISH and wouldn't shut the hell up about it.
Easton's telling people we're engaged which I guess we are - without the ring, of course.
Don't want to go back to school but at the same time I'm excited about it. How I do love summers off, though.
Here is my absolutely favorite blog ever: http://jordanbaker.blogspot.com/
Check it out. I love this girl and have told her so. I don't know how exactly I discovered it, but I'm glad I did.
Saw "The Village" the other day via Netflix. Liked Howard's daughter's acting and some of the cinematography and the concept but some parts fell a bit flat.
Easton and I finally got library cards yesterday. I checked out some books on health and 3 books on tape which I'll be taking with me to FL - Girl in Hyacinth Blue, Girl with a Pearl Earring and damn...can't remember the third one, although I'm pretty sure it doesn't star with Girl...wouldn't that be a coincidence.
More later.
tata.
